Hey hey!!!! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I feel so refreshed and ready to tackle on the week!
I wanted to do a post today that shares a little more about myself. I have a lot of quirky ways about me and I thought sharing would be a fun way to get to know me a little.
I have to smell everything I eat or drink beforehand. I have been doing this since I was little and it's a habit that I will never break. Sometimes if I love a certain food and it smells weird or different, I will not eat it.
I have super crazy anxiety. A lot of my dearest and closest know this about me. I get super stressed if plans do not turn out how I imagined, if I am not on time somewhere (which means early for me)... You would think my house burned down with how I react....I get cray cray, but it's how I have always been.
I never wash my jeans...especially my designer ones. I mean, if I had some spillage or a disaster I would of course clean them, but otherwise I don't because it always compromises the fabric. You can judge me all you want.
I am TERRIFIED of praying mantis's....They are harmless lil' creatures but I cannot handle them. I once was at a park reading on the grass and one just showed up next to me and I started running around and screaming like I was being chased by an axe murderer. HAHA.... (It took every ounce of courage to post this picture).....
I am HUGE fan of Alfred Hitchcock. I recently watched the new movie starring Sir Anthony Hopkins who portrayed Hitch during the creation of "Psycho" and it blew me away. I love how peculiar he was, and I LOVE all his old movies and especially "Alfred Hitchcock presents"
I don't mean to be mean about this one but....I always laugh when people fall in public. I mean, OF COURSE if the person was hurt badly I would never make fun. I would do all I could to help....but let's be honest here, if I see someone fall and then the person looks around like "I hope no one saw me" I WOULD DIE!!!!!! I even laugh at myself when I fall in public....
I have a weird soft spot for certain songs....meaning if I hear them I immediately get choked up and start crying for no reason. Not sure if the songs are related to an unidentified memory that was painful for me, but one song in particular that I have to turn off if I hear is this.....maybe it's the lyrics...I have no idea.
I cannot stand it when someone in the car is a "backseat driver".....It makes my blood boil!
Do any of you have any weird or quirky things about you that you would like to share? I am so interested!!
My heart is skipping a beat for sure cause it's Friday!!! Time to crank up the jams my friends. Let's kick this shit into gear and get ready to dance shall we?
1. The Rolling Stones- Mixed Emotions
This is truly what "Moves like Jagger" look like....
2. MGMT- Electric Feel
This song always gives me electricity....
3. Neneh Cherry-Buffalo Stance
This is way old school and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
4. Nada Surf- Popular
This song always made me laugh, and its just a typical bad ass 90's grunge song!
5. Daft Punk-Voyager
This song is my ultimate favorite running jam
6. Kid Cudi- Pursuit of Happiness
Love the hell outta this song....
7. The Cure- Lullaby
I love the strange and obscure lyrics to this song...gives me the chills.
Just kidding, I am a happily married woman....however, Jeffrey Campbell shoes are my obsession....I cannot get enough. If I could afford it, I would have every pair of JC's in my closet.
Today is my Friday because tomorrow I am taking the day off to do my friend Anne's hair and makeup for her BIG day!! She is getting married and I am so excited for her....
Check y'all later!!!

I am so stoked to reveal this stellar and kick ass project! I was so freaking excited when I was given the opportunity to be involved in this month's Messy Project! It's an amazing way for each of us to express ourselves fashion wise. I don't follow every trend, and I tend to dress like a punk rocker and when I discovered the super beautiful Kelly I just had to get a spot on this project...she is amazing!
I know from my personal styling experience that a lot of people have trouble styling certain items. They may look at a top and instantly think "I can't wear that...what would I do with that"? So I wanted to find a fun way to interact with other bloggers incorporating fashion help. Something to convey who we are and show our style. To put our creative minds to work. To challenge us to step outside the box. To express our inner fashionista. To show people the different ways to style an item depending on your body type and you.
My talented hubby was able to capture these images for me. We just drove around downtown Richmond and he had the "eye" to pick the spots to show off my Messy piece :).
I chose to pair my tunic with:
Distressed black jeggings
Black wedges
triple layer bib necklace
Ottoman Rib Tube Top
Take a look friends and let me know your thoughts.....
I cannot express how much fun this project this was. I am very happy and feel so fortunate to have been joined with the other fabulous ladies who are dressing up this piece in their own way, everyone's individual take on styling this piece just gives me such a great feeling of happiness!
Be sure to check out the other fantastic ladies's on how they chose to style up this piece and what accessories they chose to express themselves.
Hope you enjoyed loves!!! Kelly is continually keeping this project going and she also has other mini projects that she features on her blog as well....if you are interested, please check it out and put yourself out there!
We all can express ourselves in our own way and be beautiful! This is a great example that we all have a different, and cool sense of style!
I am freaking ecstatic for this version to come out....the music, the costumes, THE HAIR AND MAKEUP (swoon) everything about this is giving me goosebumps!!!!
I am interrupting this regularly scheduled Friday music jams list. Today is a special day! It marks my husband Eric and I's 5 year wedding anniversary. I love this man unconditionally and he is the best friend I could ever ask for. Marriage can definitely have its ups and downs, but we have come so far in our relationship and honestly I cannot imagine my life with out him in it! Our song that meant the most to us and gave me goosebumps will always be......
1. Dave Matthews Band - Crash Into Me
This was our "Vogue" serious pose....hehe!
This was the best day of our lives....I get teary eyed just thinking on how much happiness and love were surrounding us that day. We had our close families and a few close friends witness and it was so simple but perfect!
We married in Savannah, Georgia and that magical place will always be so close to our hearts.
Happy Thursday friends, almost the weekend again and I ain't complaining!!!
I am stoked to be part of a project called "The Messy Project". It's a monthly project that is featured each month at the amazing Kelly from MessyDirtyHair's blog. It features 4 other bloggers (5 if you include Kelly) and she chooses an article of clothing whether it'd be a blouse, a dress, a pair of pants and she does not tell you what she chooses. You receive the item of her choice and it's up to each of us to step outside of our comfort zones and challenge ourselves "fashion" wise. A chance to eliminate the normalcy of what we normally wear and just have fun with something new and exciting. The BIG REVEAL is next Wednesday, April 24th!!! I cannot wait for you all to see. My lips are sealed right now so if you ask for any hints, nice try ain't happening!
So I would like to share a little piece of info about me that many people find surprising.....I am a HORROR movie freak. Yep, it is true. I would rather watch a horror film over a romantic comedy hands down. It all started when I was little (probably too little I might add). My dad would allow my brother and I to watch them and even though I would have nightmares every night I just became so drawn to the thrill so to speak!!! My cousin Jess and I would watch marathons of horror films and would have to sleep with the light on sometimes, LOL
I like the idea of being at home and eating endless amount of snackies and being scared shit less when I watch a movie. I am a fan of just about everything you can imagine. Stalkers and psychopaths, vampires, witches, werewolves, clowns, etc...you name it!!!! Sometimes I even appreciate the super cheesy films so I can get a good laugh out of it. Most of my family and friends cannot understand why I am obsessed.
This is probably my most favorite scary movie scene ever.....scares me the same way every time I watch......
Call me a weirdo, but I am a fanatic of the HORROR......read and watch "If you dare"....hehe
Pure nature and hiking with my hubby Eric. The weather was gorgeous and we had a wonderful time.
We were trying to see if our tree climbing skills were legit...hehe
We drove about 1.5 west of Richmond to the beautiful Crabtree Falls located in the George Washington National Forest in Nelson County, Virginia. Crabtree Falls is also one of the tallest sets of waterfalls in the US east of the Mississippi River. The hike was about 1.7 miles up the mountain and the view once you got to the top was incredible!!! We took our time and enjoyed the scenery and the weather. It's so nice to know that we have so much beauty and nature so close to where we live....
It's that time of year again peeps! Warmer weather, yummy and refreshing cocktails, longer days, the beach, the pool and swimsuits....OMG it's almost swimsuit season!! I am no longer a sun goddess but I always love getting a new bathing suit for the season, I mean come on why not??!!!! I always imagine the song "Escape" (Pina Colada Song) in my head when I am looking for a new suit...haha!!!! I am always looking for something bold and edgy and these are definitely my favorite picks for the season!!! All of these are available at Urban Outfitters.
I am a life long lover of my black Ray Ban Wayfarers....but these are hot!!!!!!!
