Stand together through crisis....

Hey my friends....

First of all, I want to say I am sorry for being kinda flaky in advance on sunshine super glam this week....I promise I am okay just a lot going on.  I hope you all are well and happy!  

My heart feels very heavy this week for all the victims and their families affected by the deadly tornado in Moore, Oklahoma...I cannot imagine the way they are feeling and losing loved ones...I get choked up just thinking about it.  I am sure you have seen this video...but it makes me cry and smile at the same time.  Bless this woman's heart.

I know being an american we always find a way to stand together through crisis's.  I am proud of that.  I am proud that so many people come together through out our entire country to help those who have lost so much.  

If I could impact someone in a positive way in a crisis I always wonder what I could do to brighten their skies a bit.  I think the little things always mean a lot.  A hot meal, clean clothes, or a soft pillow....maybe a good ol' scalp massage to ease their tension and worry as they try to build their lives back to some normalcy after such a devastating loss.  

Is there a particular act of kindness that you would love to do for someone in need?  Something that you know would put a smile on someone's face.  I would really love to hear it.

I got nothing on this Monday....

Hey peeps!  So....I don't have much to report right now.  We are officially moved in to our new place....things are starting to come together thanks to my hubby...he was a rockstar this weekend!  This is what I am going to say to him when I get home from work today....love you boo!!!!!

The time when your friend gave you that look and you just knew.....

Oh you know what I mean....you can look at your dearest girlfriends and if something is funny, frustrating, or just weird they give you a simple look and they know what you are thinking...and vice versa!

Who's ready for this hot piece of shhhhhh.....oh Henry you can rescue me anytime baby!

It's one of those weeks...you mess with my food, you will get hurt, LOL!!!!  Don't judge!  It probably has something to do with the fact that everything in my  kitchen is pretty much all in cardboard boxes and our choices are to eat out....it's like a mini vacation in my opinion. (One piece of helpful advice...never, and I mean never eat chicken wings at lunch and then visit your personal trainer later that day...epic fail)  BARF!

This is something I secretly wanna do...ya know grow a set and do some donuts with cops...haha!!!! I kid I kid!

I hope you enjoyed my smorgasbord of thoughts today....I am almost on empty because of this move that I have been talking about....come on weekend, just get here so I can live normally again.  Thanks!

End of a loft era....

It truly is an end of a lofty downtown livin' era for me, the hubster and our doggy....hehe.  In a few short days my lil family is moving outta downtown Richmond and into a perfect home for us.  We are excited to have a little more space and a fenced in back yard for our precious chlo bear!!!   I will miss our current place a lot since it was the first place we lived in when we made the move to Richmond.  A lot of awesome memories were had there.  Noisy neighbors (I really will not miss, ha) , pubs and restaurants within walking distance, several parks and local history, the countless amounts of festivals near our apartment, being able to run/jog near the river downtown...the list could go on.

These photos were taken a long time ago, but these were the only shots I could find of our loft....

Our bedroom is completely exposed...no door or privacy. So I am thankful to be moving to a new place with doors and privacy, hehe!

Our place looks completely different now....boxes everywhere, pictures and lamps taken down and it looks pretty empty.  I know we are moving on to bigger and better things with our new place.  Stay tuned for pics of our new digs soon!!!!

Sorry I was kinda a debbie downer in yesterday's post....I felt like dog poop...and it was Monday can you blame me?  HA!!!

Good morning friends....but what I am really thinking is F*@k off Monday!  I am not in the mood today sorry I am not sorry!   It really lights up my day when my alarm goes off and I instantly feel the need to dry heave from nausea.  (No I am not pregnant)!!!!  I am thanking the lovely mold and pollen in the air and my sinuses draining like a mother over night!   All I want to do today is eat some chicken noodle soup, throw in a grilled cheese and fall asleep on the couch watching t.v.   and the beauty of it all, I offer to work a double shift at my job today to help out and now I am wanting to beat down my past self for agreeing.  Thanks a lot!
