Pure nature and hiking with my hubby Eric. The weather was gorgeous and we had a wonderful time.
We were trying to see if our tree climbing skills were legit...hehe |
We drove about 1.5 west of Richmond to the beautiful Crabtree Falls located in the George Washington National Forest in Nelson County, Virginia. Crabtree Falls is also one of the tallest sets of waterfalls in the US east of the Mississippi River. The hike was about 1.7 miles up the mountain and the view once you got to the top was incredible!!! We took our time and enjoyed the scenery and the weather. It's so nice to know that we have so much beauty and nature so close to where we live....
Love ya's

I SOOOO wish we had better hiking here in Texas. Everything is so stinking FLAT here.. but I'm determined to find somewhere good. I really want to take the beagles, with little beagle backpacks, and it would give me a good reason to buy new tennis shoes (shh, don't tell anyone!)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful place! I'm so jealous!
You and Eric are the CUTEST!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous hike! I can't wait until it warms up (totally freakin' snowed today) enough to go hiking with Eric and Mia!!
This looks so fun! Sometimes I see a really good tree climbing tree and I just want to climb it so badly! Screw being a grown up. Clearly I need to get out there in nature and have a little fun. Thanks for sharing!
